You can order food here from Wolt or Glovo, or just walk few minutes and pick it up. It has some pretty decent pizza and pizza-adjacent food for relatively cheap compared to most of the city.

I have found that interesting fillings for crepes (or as we call them: pancakes) are something only really popular in Croatian cities. This bar is a little bit of a walk from our accommodation (though ordering is available on Glovo), but I do recommend checking it out and enjoying some delicious sweet and sour crepes.

This place has a nice terrace for sitting outside, and it is offering some amazing ice-cream. It's not cheap, but it's incredibly tasty and lactose-free.

Really nice burgers and some good fries options too, they have some vegan options. I recommend getting the "sliders", 3 smaller burgers that allow you to try their 3 best-rated burgers. It's more than enough for one person. I don't recommend their coffee.

In this somewhat secluded little street, you'll find several really good restaurant options: Pjat, Stomorica and Canzone. Pjat is a small place that's often full, but if you can find spots you will be lucky! They have amazing fresh seafood, and often menus with a whole set of food for decent amount of money.

If you're with a car and enjoy wine tasting and good food, this may be a perfect spot to visit. It's one of the less expensive wineries to visit in the area, but it's definitely not falling behind its competitors. The wine selection is great and they accompany it all with great local food.

This is a relatively new but very highly liked place, and even though it's in the middle of the city core, its food quality is very high and it's not overpriced. Highly recommend their seafood and pizza.

City/town information
This is one of the smallest and oldest towns of Croatia, it has very interesting history and many nice restaurants and walking places. It is also full of sandy beaches, and it's easy to get to and from with just a bus from the main bus station.

If you're with a car, I recommend getting to this village. It had many different beach options (amazing rocky depths in Duboka Draga; sand in Ričine; isolated forest parts in Mulo, etc). There is also a "american western" style park nearby the village.

If you take "barkajol" across the water, you'll end up on a shore with a small beach and some good bars. Walking towards the west, you'll end up at Sfinga cafe, and then continue onwards to find a small (and newly refurbished) Sfinga (sphinx) park. It's a pretty unique sight for this area, and maybe a nice little half-day adventure to that city area.

Lake Vransko has a nice park, and restaurant, you may swim in it, and there are also some nice sights to see (Kamenjak sightseeing vista). This whole are is a "nature park" and it's very lovely to visit if you have a chance.

Lake Vransko has a nice park, and restaurant, you may swim in it, and there are also some nice sights to see (Kamenjak sightseeing vista). This whole are is a "nature park" and it's very lovely to visit if you have a chance.

If you take a bus to Skradin, exit at NP Krka station. If with a car, the ride there is about an hour long.
Krka is a National Park so there are ticket fees to enter, but you can totally make a day trip out of this. It's absolutely stunning and offers a swimming site under the waterfalls.
Kornati is an island-based National park you can get to with an excursion boat, these are hire-able all around the city center. The tickets seem steep but it's a National Park fee, and the day trip is worth it if you enjoy crystal blue waters and island sights.

The mini boat: Barkajol
The mini boat "Barkajol" goes from the north side of the center (Poluotok) across towards the marina, giving you quick access to parts of Borik, Slatka tajna pancake place, Vruljica park, the beach at Marex bar.... It may be of use!

Uber and Bolt
In Croatia, Uber and Bolt are both legal and they are basically registered taxi drivers. Lots of times they will be cheaper than other taxis, and also you get a proper bill. Try to compare prices at different times to get the best deal. If you're getting your orders cancelled, it may be because you're not paying with cash.

Plant based milk options
If you're hoping for a nice plant-based froth in your coffee, you're rarely going to find places in Zadar that offer this. You can buy such milk in most stores, so perhaps take it with you and order an espresso or "long espresso in a larger cup" (gives more coffee and room for milk) so you can add your own milk.

Tipping
Waiters and taxi drivers normally expect tipping in Croatia. It can be from 1-5 HRK for a bill in a coffee bar, up to 10-30 HRK in a restaurant, usually just rounded up to the first number that makes sense. There aren't any rules about it really, and it's not legalized, so you can also skip it.

"Glass of water"
The pipe water in Croatia is totally fine to drink, and most of the locals never order bottled water in restaurants and cafes. You'll hear us order a "glass of water" (čaša (pronounced: chasha) vode) with a coffee or something else, and that will get you a free, tapped glass of water.
