This is an amazing walk/hike Make your way up to the Sierras (just 45 min) towards lake Tahoe and this hike is right off Highway 50. Do the short easy there and back or head into desolation wilderness and the endless high Sierra lakes.

There are a ton of activities to do here, hiking, rafting, swimming, bike riding, museums, and gold panning for kids. 15 minute drive Also a good amount of restaurants in the area

One of the closest hikes to Placerville. This hike is straight down to the river and then straight back up the same trail. 3 miles down 3 miles back up

Great wine as well, one of the owners is the winemaker at Element 79 a great local winery.

We like to go and enjoy a sunset over the vineyard on their patio, great small bites, and you have the option of wine from Nelio Olivio or beer from them. We typically go for the wine.

A cute little spot on Main Street right between Melters and Sweety Pies, the best local beer and wine on tap or cans/bottles. We LOVE their outdoor seating on the grass. LOCAL TIP try to make it to the bagel and mimosa bar on the weekend ;) you'll be glad you did!

The best place to get a cider while letting the kids enjoy the mini kid town. They even have a real airplane and firetruck! During the summer they have live music at sunset and when it is peak apple hill season you can check out all the pop up shops!
