Newmarket Park is centrally located in Alberton while being in close proximity to the intersection of all major highways leading into Johannesburg - even the N1, via the N12 or, N3 - offering a choice to access from the East or West.
The area has been subject to major redevelopment over the last decade with the Newmarket Mall being the preferred mall of many. The Mall of The South, also in close proximity, is a regional mall and home to SA's biggest brands. A Super-Regional hospital, also in Newmarket Park, was finally completed in 2022, substantially increasing demand for amenities and accommodation in its surrounds.
The Newmarket Driving Range, floodlight by night, overlooks the Mall and offers one of the most spectacular sunsets. Clubbing balls is not a prerequisite to enjoying some pubfare & glass of vino while watching said sunset.
Should clubbing balls be your thing, the Reading Country Club is not far. Ranked respectably in SA's top 100 courses and part of the Sunshine Circuit, it offers a challenging round in Old Wood surrounds. The clubhouse serves the best half chicken, chips & salad in town.
