Just Amazing. If you want to know about Texas History or just want to take in everything Texan, this is the right spot for you. It’s the embodiment of everything Texan. Right from the entrance to the Gift shop, everything is so beautifully designed. The staff and government officials are amazing and courteous to answer all the questions I had. They even let you go into the statehouse and senate which is great!

Very scenic. Must go if you are in Austin. Be careful not to leave valuables in plain sight. Lots of car windows and windshields on the ground from thrives breaking into cars.

One of the best places to visit if one is visiting Texas. Super cool spot, must have reservations to get in. Feb and March are good for hiking and watching this beautiful place as it won’t be that too hot and too cold.

An excellent place on a cloudy summer day! Booking is available on the website which is for one car not per person. Visit the restrooms prior and bring your picnic backpack and water also make sure your swimming suit is there and wear trek shoes for trails. Beware of snakes and poison ivy and armadillos on the trail and don’t go near falling rocks. There are 2 trails one is the pool trail takes 5-7 mins to visit this one first and then proceed to the river trail which is 0.75 miles trail and 1.5 miles the whole round trip. There are scenic overlooks throughout the river trail so stay hydrated. Have a great day at Hamilton pool and recreation activities are allowed till 12:30 pm and 5:00 pm.

Comal Park is hands down one of the cleanest lake parks I've ever been to. The amenities are fantastic. Plenty of restrooms, washing stations, picnic tables, BBQ pits, and a kid-friendly beach area. It's a bit slippery without shoes so come prepared. $10 per car.

Scripture Falls is a 25- to 45-minute hike from the Barton Creek Greenbelt Trailhead (depending on whether you’re a fit adult or you have kids and/or curious pups in tow). Watch for signs warning when it’s not safe to be in the water (there’s toxic algae that grow). It’s scenic and there’s lots of space to hop between the rocks, just sit and take in the scenery, or (if it’s safe) enjoy a swim. The trail to/from is well maintained and easy to follow. There aren’t water stops or bathrooms on the route, so be sure to take that into account when planning your visit. A great afternoon hike to enjoy getting into nature without having to venture far out of the city.

This experience was GREAT!! I suggest everyone do this at least once. I do caution anyone who is claustrophobic, has mobility issues, has trouble breathing, or walking steep inclines. And please wear good shoes. You will descend 150 ft on pathways that are wet and sometimes slippery or muddy. The ascent out gets pretty steep near the end. The temperature was mild in March but I imagine it would be very hot and humid during warmer months. There are handrails. I suggest you use them. Guests are not allowed to touch anything. You can take pictures and there are several stops where you can rest while the guides talk about the caverns. You can even taste the water near the end of the tour. Get your tickets in advance and arrive at least 15 minutes before to find parking and walk to the tour area. Tours run on time every 7 minutes. It's a very well-run facility complete with 2 restaurants, gift shops, panning for gems, and a nice sized ropes course. I highly recommend this activity!!

A literal hidden gem right off of I-35. There are three levels of tours: -- The Adventure is best for families with young children or those who aren’t interested in crawling into tight spaces. -- The Hidden tour is a medium challenge for anyone over age 7. -- The Wild requires participants to be over 13 and involves crawling and getting into and through tight spaces. It looks amazing and we will come back and do it at another point. The caves are really cool and the tour gets you to see a wide variety of formations and features. There is also an area above ground where you can buy bags or buckets of dirt pre-loaded with semi-precious stones, replica arrowheads, or fossils and then “pan” for your treasures in the sluice. There’s also a small playground which is well maintained. Overall, highly recommended. Although the tours aren’t cheap, they are well worth the money and give you a good amount of time underground.

Beautiful sunny days are definitely for coming here! It was very relaxing to take the different scenic walks, and there walks even a museum you could enter (for $5). The gift shop had something for everyone, and they even did displays of loading and shooting an old musket just at the entrance of the Alamo. HIGHLY recommend visiting! We loved our visit and learning the history of this place. Also highly recommend doing the guided tour, because you get access to areas of the grounds that the general public does not and a lot more information from the guide. It also includes entry to the church. Recommend going early, as later in the day the lines are long and there are lots of people.

A great place for a sunset and sunrise view. The walk up to the viewpoint actually has two ways parallel and people who have difficulty can use the path that's less strenuous to climb however it's not that bad. Also once you climb up you will have a great view of the bridge, lake, and a glimpse of the city. You can also do jet skiing if interested. There are rentals. Also once you are at the viewpoint there's a trail if interested. Overall a good place to have a scenic view. Parking is difficult during weekends as it's very crowded however lots of street parking is available.

This is an EPIC board game, table game and card game store! It can be a bit overwhelming but I do like the various sections like games for one, games for two, new games etc. Prices were in line with online retail and we like supporting brick and mortar. We will make it a must-stop while in Austin.

This is such a great store if you are looking for manga, art books, stationary, or anime/manga themed merchandise. They have a broad selection and the prices are reasonable, in many cases less than their competitors. My favorite is their art books, which usually have demo versions that the customer can flip through. There was a specific book I was looking at that didn't have a demo and they let me open it to look prior to purchasing (which I did buy). They also have a vast selection of manga in both English and Japanese. Parking can often be a challenge, but totally worth it. There's also great places to eat and do other shopping in the strip mall, including a grocery store with lots of Asian spices and food options.

If you're looking for authentic Thai cuisine, this restaurant is the place to be. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The decor is stylish and modern, but still retains a traditional Thai feel. The menu is diverse and offers a wide range of traditional Thai dishes, each infused with delicate spices and vibrant flavors. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious - from the appetizer to the dessert - and we were thoroughly impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the chef. The service was outstanding, with our friendly waitress going above and beyond to ensure that we had an amazing dining experience. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the beautiful presentation of the dishes and the well-curated wine list. Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant. If you're looking for an unforgettable culinary adventure, this Thai restaurant will not disappoint. Five stars all the way!

Came here because of recommendations, and it lived up to them! The indoor seating area is nice. There’s an air-conditioned porch with lots of windows, so you still get the views of the lake. We sat on the patio and listened to the live performer. It was a perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Adventure

Best water park in Texas. Not many people are aware that it's so big you have to take a shuttle to the other side of the park. The one with the extremely tall castle is the more adult-friendly one. There's a pool that has a bar in it and the pool is shallow and small enough that your kids can swim right next to you and it's easy to keep an eye on them. Time does pass fairly quickly tho so if you want to ride everything in both parks go on a less crowded day. Some lines can take an hr and most take anywhere from 20-40 minutes. Cell phone cases hold phones and cards. Lockers are digital at a kiosk so no lost keys. The staff is awesome too.
