Another great ‘gastro’ pub tucked away in the heart of Slapton village, hidden in the shadow of the 14th century tower, all that remains of the former ecclesiastical college that once stood. It takes a little bit of effort to find but be assured once you are there you won’t want to leave. Whether it is spring, summer, autumn or winter, Dan and his family offer a warm welcome to all, including children and dogs. Lovely courtyard and gardens. Try French Chef Don’s fabulous bouillabaisse soup – our favourite!

A wonderful location beside the Estuary. A long quay enables you to wine and dine al-fresco at the quayside tables where you can watch the boats and birdlife including herons and egrets, and occasionally seals can be seen playing just off the quay.
The ‘Crabbie’ is gaining a reputation as an eatery of distinction with an increasingly acclaimed menu. The Inn is “child friendly” and children of all ages are very welcome. There is an abundance of high chairs and a popular childrens’ menu. The children will be kept entertained trying to catch crabs from the Quay so take a line with you.
