Great neighborhood restaurant with a solid wine list and cocktail program. The soppressata pizza with hot honey is one of the best pies in Brooklyn. The kale salad is excellent too.

Whenever I don't know where to go, I go to Glady's. It's chill and cheap and potentially our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. Simple Caribbean classics in a cool, casual atmosphere. Try the jerk fried wings, or the curry goat with a Dark and Slushy (frozen rum and ginger beer) to wash it all down

This is our favorite restaurant that we've never eaten at. Every time we walk by, we see lots of cute, happy faces - both behind the service counter and from the customer side. The decor is charmingly nautical-themed and decked out with red, white and blue. We've heard the crab is quite tasty. Too bad we're not fans of shellfish!

This sweet little cafe serves Counter Culture Coffee, tasty pastries (many of which are house-made) and Latin-influenced dishes like empanadas.

Technically this restaurant is in Prospect Heights and is truthfully a bit of walk from the apt. BUT the ramen here is the best in NYC. Trust me - I've tried it all (Jin, Ipuddo, Ivan, Toto... & many, many more). These guys are Momofuku alums and they know what they're doing. You'll be tempted to try the Limited Edition Pork Bone, but don't be fooled - the Kimchi Ramen and the Veggie Miso are better. The pork buns are also good.

The bar's decor spans from '30s art deco to '50s postwar chic before culminating in a back lounge complete with vintage '70s wood paneling and a massive portrait of actress and Bond girl Jill St. John. One of the best spots in the neighborhood to grab a well-made cocktail.

We go here anytime I don't want to go all the way to the grocery store and just need one or two small things.
