Seriously the best fresh pita kebab in Zurich. This place started off as a food truck favorite with long queues no matter the day or time of the week. Their pitas are freshly made, and there’s vegan options as well.

Sightseeing

Want to get out of town? Head up to Felsenegg, with its very own cable car, for traditional (and a little touristy) Swiss cuisine and stunning views. If you're in good physical condition and have outdoor shoes with you, treck up to the restaurant from Adliswil train station (warning: steep sections!).

Take the train to Zurich's 'own' mountain, Uetliberg, enjoy the views and walk to Teehaus Jurablick. Off-the-beaten path, offering tea and homemade cakes and beautiful views during the day, and fondue for those willing to venture out in the evening and into the depth of the night (reservation for fondue critical!). Following your tea break, continue walking down to Ringlikon and hop on the train back to Zurich HB.

Vervoersmogelijkheden

Using Switzerland’s renowned public transportation.

We’re lucky to enjoy an extremely reliable public transportation network throughout Switzerland and an app that makes finding routes, determining schedules and buying tickets superbly easy. I highly recommend downloading it: look for “SBB Mobile” in your app store. Also, good to know: if you’re planing to travel further afield, an “SBB Half Fare Travelcard” quickly pays for itself.
Wat je mee moet nemen

Plan to explore a few mountain tops?

If you intend to explore some of Switzerland's panoramic mountain tops, its worthwhile bringing a pair of solid outdoor/hiking shoes with you. Good to know: Transa at Europaallee, or Bächli Bergsport in Oerlikon, offer a vast selection of outdoor clothing and gear.
