when we visit Colne this is our favourite place to get a coffee or to eat breakfast (which is served until 12pm) We've not tried the rest of the menu but it looks great and they use locally sourced ingredients such as Porcus sausages from Todmorden. Their food is served all day, they have amazing wines and we hear nothing but good things. The decor and atmosphere is always relaxed and fun, private booths to sit in and stylish decor

One of the nearby pubs which serves great food. as we don't serve food on a Monday and Tuesday night (we have a pizza van on a Tuesday) we often send guests to Emmott Arms if they are staying these nights. They have a great beer garden and their menu is highly recommended

The name of one of our guest rooms and a great nearby walk. The hill is in the traditional county of Yorkshire, but following local government reorganisation in 1974 it falls within Lancashire for administrative purposes. The summit has a Triangulation Pillar and commands views over much of east Lancashire, the north Ribble Valley, north Aire Valley and the Yorkshire Dales. The summit is approximately 250 metres (820 ft) above the towns of Barnoldswick, Salterforth, Earby, Kelbrook and Gisburn.

Noyna hill is located a mile to the east of Foulridge and it is possible to see other local towns such as Colne, Nelson, Trawden, Barnoldswick and Earby. On a clear day most of Lancashire and the Yorkshire Dales are seen from here.

Affectionately known locally as Barlick, the town has a great market and the second highest concentration of independent shops in the UK. That’s higher than Arundel or Hebden Bridge! Barnoldswick has recently won the Best British High Street Award and was also voted as being better than the Trafford Centre, winning hands down for shopper experience!  Barnoldswick’s shops have  that independent touch and give the service and choice you deserve. Just on the edge of the town is one of the best family attractions around – Thornton Hall Farm. Barlick is proud of it’s manufacturing traditions. Bancroft Mill, which is on the Stream and Steam Trail, is one of the finest mill museums around and the town boasts some huge names such as Rolls Royce and Hope Technology. They produce bike components and ship throughout the globe. They have plans for a £2millon velodrome. Not bad for a small market town! There’s also a fantastic range of events throughout the year, including Barlick Beach. The town is tucked away on the border of Lancashire and Yorkshire, and is situated in a beautiful part of the world with lots of great walks and cycle rides. Barlick has a book of its own walks, but if want something more challenging why not try the West Craven Way? The Pennine Cycle and Bridleway routes also pass through here.

Tucked away just outside of the Trawden boundary the Cotton Tree Inn is the nearest pub to walk to if you fancy a little pub crawl from Trawden Arms (we can't guarantee you will ever want to leave us though!) They don't serve food but have the All Fired Up Pizza van on Friday evenings (we have him on a Tuesday!) he is very popular so expect ques and long waiting times
