State Route 155Cueva Ventana gives visitors a chance to see Puerto Rico from a new angle. It’s name translates to “window cave,” for the way its mouth opens up to an impressive view of the valley below.
Getting from the ground to the cave opening takes about an hour of hiking and climbing. Along the way, tour guides will share information about the plants and animals that make their homes in the cave, and the geology that makes up the cave’s interior.

To get to it, you have to get to the pier of Lago Dos Bocas at the municipality of Utuado and get on the boat, owned by the restaurant. The boat ride to the restaurant costs $5 per person round trip. Once you arrive, you have to climb a fairly steep paved slope until you reach the hill where the restaurant is located. Here you will have a spectacular view of the lake and its surroundings. The restaurant food is very good. Its costs are quite modest, considering that the entire operation is done through barges. This experience is highly recommended, it is not just a restaurant, but a gourmet picnic.
