Food is excellent quality, but not pricey. Monday from noon on, their 10" gourmet pizzas are only $10 (with a drink, and their pints are on special also.) Their 'secret garden' is a great place to eat, rain or shine.

High end restaurant on upper level with gorgeous view of the marina. Seasonal cafe open on lower deck. Good food at a reasonable price. Nice view of the marina. You will often see river otters along the rocks here in early summer.

Ogden point Cafe is a great place to grab a bite, watch the water traffic ( cruise ships, tankers, occasional pod of Orcas, divers, coast guard, etc). You can walk up Dallas road along the water toward cook street, and clover point.

Amazing architecture and historic features, this is a splendid example of a Victorian-era Scottish Baronial mansion. It was designated a National Historic Site of Canada, and is run by local volunteers. It can be quite crowded in here at times, but if you wait for the occasional large bus groups to pass, the local guides are very informative and the mansion settles down to a tranquil Victorian retreat.

Less than 1 km from our house, Summit Park has a rare Garry oak ecosystem, and has great views of the surrounding area. In the late summer, early autumn migrating flocks of water birds can be seen in the reservoir up here.

If you go here, go early to get a parking spot. This is a gorgeous waterway with a small river beach at the beginning of the park, and incredible swimming holes up river. A very popular location for locals. Picnic friendly. Nice hiking paths.
