We buy our meat at this butcher. Meat is expensive in Switzerland so most people buy it at the supermarket. We discovered that this butcher has more or less the same prices as the supermarket, some times even cheaper and the quality has nothing to do. You can buy Simmental or Herens beef which are two of the best meats you can find (usually the meat that is served in upper scale restaurants).
Check out the "viande séchée", a swiss speciality usually called "viande des grisons" but the people in valais don't use the name because it isn't there area! It's a smoked beef meat you must try. It's expensive but no need to buy a kilo!

Our favorite restaurant for a midday lunch. They have a daily menu at a very reasonable price for swiss standards and the chef has worked for Ducasse. Between the price and the quality, we often go there and eat even with the kids that enjoy the food.

The price isn't cheap, but we haven't found cheap pizza in Crans-Montana except buying pizza at the supermarket and cooking it at home!

In summer time, we like to walk here, parking our care near the restaurant blanche-neige. There is also the possibility driving near the lac, which we personally don't do. The walk is as nice as the discovery at the end of the walk of the lake. The pathway to the lac is suitable for strollers (not the walk around the lake). You can picnic on tables meant for visitors and even barbecue if you brought some wood or coal.
