Baw Beese Lake is 3 miles from the house. Great for boating, fishing, kayaking, swimming and taking walks. There is a paved trail starting at the Rough Draft Coffee/Restaurant 2 blocks from the house that goes all the way to Sandy Beach. Plus, there are smaller lakes attached to Lake Baw Beese that are fun for kayaking and smaller boats, to access go under M-34 by the Marina. The passage from 4th Lake to Boot Lake is shallow & winds through the cattails,. Launch boats & kayak at the Waterworks Park Boat Launch (boats) or there is another ramp just past Sandy Beach (kayaks). What makes Baw Beese Lake special is the entire east side of the lake has 2 public parks ending at Sandy Beach. (most lakes are all houses.) Plenty of picnic tables, disc golf, & playground equipment.
