Las Alpujarras is a short drive from Granada and is a group of villages at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. A really good area to explore to get a feel for how the people lived 400-500 years ago and it is an area none for its special cuisine. Favourite spots - Pampaneira and Capileira.
