Iceberg Point offers miles of gentle hiking trails through forests, wildflower meadows and along rocky shorelines with dramatic views across the Straight of San Juan de Fuca to the snow-capped Olympic Mountains. Please stay on trails and rocks to protect fragile, rare plant life, essential to nesting birds and other wildlife. Keep your eyes open for bald eagles in the sky and whales offshore.

Iceberg Point

Short .1 mile walk from parking to quiet, secluded beach. Great place for families with young children to relax, play, picnic and wade in the clear, clean water. Fairly steep trail at the south end of the beach leads up to Watmough Head (.7 mi) and affords gorgeous views of the bay and snow-capped Cascade Mountains to the east.

Watmough Bay

A gentle 10-minute walk through dense forest leads to a dramatically beautiful, rocky shoreline. There are no sharks, but watch and listen for seals in the water below or resting on the nearby islands, and follow the trails down to explore the tide pools at low tide. Please be respectful of the private property signs that border this park.

Shark Reef RoadA gentle 10-minute walk through dense forest leads to a dramatically beautiful, rocky shoreline. There are no sharks, but watch and listen for seals in the water below or resting on the nearby islands, and follow the trails down to explore the tide pools at low tide. Please be respectful of the private property signs that border this park.
Beach Fun
With 2 miles of gentle hiking trails, crabbing, clamming, fishing, swimming, bird and wildlife-viewing, Spencer Spit has something for all ages and interests. This 200 acre marine park, located on the Strait of Juan de Fuca, has picnic tables and shelters, great fire pits and an Outdoor Adventure Center that rents kayaks, SUP boards and bicycles. By the way, this is a great place for kite flying!

This 200 acre marine park, located on the Strait of Juan de Fuca, has picnic tables and shelters, great fire pits and an Outdoor Adventure Center that rents kayaks, SUP boards and bicycles. By the way, this is a great place for kite flying!
This 80-acre park has a long, sandy beach, a boat launch, gentle hiking trails, a ball field and picnicking with great fire pits. It is a perfect place for all-day family relaxation and play.

Car-free Lopez
Family-friendly and family-owned, Village Cycles is located on 214 Lopez Road in Lopez Village. The friendly, helpful owner & staff rent out well-tuned bikes of all sizes and kinds--hybrids, road, mountain and electric assist bikes, which we highly recommend since Lopez is DOES have a few hills! This shop also rents burley trailers and tag-alongs. You can arrange to have your bikes delivered for you at the ferry landing...or to wherever you want and when you're done, dropping bikes off is just as convenient.
