Easily the best restaurant in the region (other than Ochard in Cle Elum). Definitely will need a reservation--though you might be able to sneak a seat at the small bar area if you're lucky.

Excellent produce and groceries. Don't miss their amazing buffet, Mazama Store baguettes and great wine cellar.

Sightseeing

Great walk right out of town. At the top of the road there is a single-track trail that gets you to the top of Lookout--great views of the Sawtooth Range. Amazing training run with over 3500 ft of gain from town (if you're into that kind of thing). Road will be closed once the it gets snowed in, but it's usually plowed to the FS land. I have a secret stash of powder up here in most snow years ;)
