El Faro Los Morrillos is located just a short walk away from our apartment. If you love sightseeing and nature walks this is a great opportunity. You can take great pictures, enjoy the scenery and breathe the pure salty breeze. This is a self guided activity, please note that is at your own risk and there is no lifeguard on duty. If going with children keep an eye at all times because there are cliffs. This is a protected wildlife reserve, so please, make sure to ve considered of your surroundings and pick up after yourself. The salt flats at Cabo Rojo are worth the trip. “Las Salinas” is also known as Pink Beach… these waters are only for admiring, so please protect the Salt flats by never playing, stepping or leaving trash in the area. They are one of the most beautiful places in Cabo Rojo with high educational value for all ages. Is an excellent eco attraction and one of the most scenic stops on the West coast. They also have a small museum where you can stop by and get some goodies as well as a watch tower you can climb to get a better view.

The striking landscape makes it a special natural wonder and it is the ideal place for beach bumming and achieving that perfect sun-kissed tan. The beach is part of the town’s natural preserve reserve. This beach doesn’t have any business or restaurants nearby, so we recommend taking whatever you need to spend your day, make sure to stay hydrated and cleanup after yourself. The trail there is a dirt road that may get a bit bumpy but its doable. Just keep in mind that to get there it will be about a 10 minute walk from the parking.
