When you've been here for a week and craving Chinese carryout, this is the best I've found near Harrison...from Regina
It's in Mount Pleasant, about 40 minutes away. So if you're planning to be near there, then place the order and bring home. There is no dine-in service at First Wok.

About 40 minutes away, but definitely the place to go when you really want a large variety of shopping (Walmart, Sams Club, Meijer, Home Depot, Menards, etc.) and dining (national and small restaurant) options.

This is the mid-size campground where your rental is located. Peaceful, quiet, and a great community of campers! The closest to the Leota Trailhead and you can ride your ORV straight there.

There's also some national restaurants in the center, like McDonald's, Little Ceasars, Dairy Queen, and you'll find Burger King on the south end. The family restaurants are all over. Also plan to check out the Clare County Fairgrounds for the County Fair usually at the end of July.

Besides the actual lake, this is a really nice tourist town about 20 minutes north of the campground. There's a Walmart, Home Depot, Camping World, & Tracker Supply, Arby's, Little Ceasars, and McDonalds as the biggest national chain stores. But there are a bunch of smaller mom & pops, nurseries, around town around the lake. Be careful you don't mistakenly drive into the water!

There's a Walmart, Home Depot, Camping World, & Tracker Supply, Arby's, Little Ceasars, and McDonalds as the biggest national chain stores. But there are a bunch of smaller mom & pops, nurseries, around town around the lake. Be careful you don't mistakenly drive into the water!

Coming from a big city, it was pretty interesting to visit something like a Walmart, but different. A real country store with a meat counter with a huge display, a real bakery area, etc.

Amish Quilt Auction & Flea Market May 20/21; Sept 2/3, 2022
Imagine farm fields transformed with rows of crafters, antiques and flea marketers hundreds of vendors in all! This event is one of the largest, well attended, craft shows, flea markets and quilt auctions in Michigan. In addition to the Amish crafted furniture, quilts and goods, one may purchase an array of arts and crafts items, discounted tools, jewelry, cutlery, jams and plants to name a few. few. A number of concession stands and several food specialty tents, featuring baked goods and cheese, are hosted by the Amish women.
