Wednesdays and Saturdays they serve BBQ. We also like coming here for brunch. They have a good amount of parking next to the restaurant and it's located right on the beach. Friendly and helpful staff; most speak spanish and english.

We enjoy their lunch. The upper deck is a great place for a sunset dinner location. They also have a spot where you can rent kayaks, paddle boards, boogie boards and skim boards.

Beaches
Beautiful, laid back beach close to the Villa. There's trees along the beach to provide shade. There's a cooler in the laundry room and beach chairs in the king room closet that we like to take down with us. There's also a couple of restaurants along the beach; We enjoy Roberto's, Pescado loco bar & restaurant and Hotel El Velero.

Sightseeing
Beautiful scenery; We have had a lot of fun on their zip lines and monkey sanctuary. They also offer horseback riding, rafting and ATVs but we haven't tried them yet.

We have taken different family members here to go hiking and swim by the waterfall. They do collect a donation at the entrance to get in - I think it's around $10. It's about a hour from the house. I would recommend bringing snacks and drinks. They do have some local vendors there and a restaurant near the entrance of the falls.

We have taken different family members here to go hiking and swim by the waterfall. They do collect a donation at the entrance to get in - I think it's around $10. It's about a hour from the house. I would recommend bringing snacks and drinks. They do have some local vendors there and a restaurant near the entrance of the falls.
A day trip you could take is to Mount Masaya, an active volcano in Nicaragua. There's a few bus tours that will take you there.

Tips for around our Villa
The pool light switch is outside on the patio by the master bedroom.
Sam, the dog, is friendly; he lives at the house on the other side of the road from the pool. He may stop by to say Hello but we don't let him in the house.

Marlin del Ray Sailing Tour - Catamaran, snorkeling, private beach, dinner, drinks and watching the sunset at sea ~ what could be better!
Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin - Tons of different adventures you can do here. We enjoyed the waterfall and hot springs; complete with painting ourselves in mud. Eating here is a must: Traditional Costa Rican meal & Pineapple Margarita - Yum!

Llano De Cortez Waterfall - IF you can only do one waterfall choose this one. You get to swim at the base of the waterfall.
You may want to pay one of the locals to show you the back waterfall - it's one experience you won't forget! :)
Tamamrido - If you want to buy work from local artists and take home some souvenirs
Coconutz sports bar with Angry Goat's brewery - Tell Eric the owner that the Colorado girls sent you :)

For those who like to fish, Albany is prefect. The locals call him "Nacho". He is located in Playa Hermosa right next to Bosque Del Mar. We caught a sailfish, yellowfin tuna, snapper and whole lot of other fish.
Mar azul - Great seafood
Hacienda el Viejo - Incredible river/wildlife tour & food with historic casona
Chorro taco - Fun & easy & delish tacos on the go
Playa Cabuyal - slightly far - but gorgeous open beach
Auto Mercado - far more to offer than luperon: worth the drive!
Guayoyo Coffee House - BEST breakfast ever. Don't miss it!
