his Fort was built in the 19th century by the Portuguese and also includes a lighthouse which lies close by. Stark, stern and yet with a glamorous charm all its own, the Mae de Deus or Mother of God Church is a breath-taking site. With its Gothic spires and pristine white walls, it reminds one of a fairytale castle. Situated amidst picturesque surroundings of the typical Goan countryside, this Church at Saligao, which is situated in the Bardez taluka, was built in 1873. It is amongst the finest in the Gothic style and is attractively illuminated at night.

A great little bakery offering everything from doughnuts to a full breakfast! Way better then any of the chains and ample parking... They make excellent pre ordered cakes, any design you wish . Definitely worth a visit.

Thalassa is one of my favorite restaurants in Goa for its stunning ambiance — I would definitely recommend it for watching a sunset and the ultimate in dining relaxation. The cuisine is Greek, which may be a bit odd to indulge in when in Goa, but I promise you the atmosphere is not to be missed, especially if you're on a romantic getaway! Surprisingly, the food stays quite true to its Greek roots without adding too much of an Indian twist to it, which I quite like.

The cuisine is Greek, which may be a bit odd to indulge in when in Goa, but I promise you the atmosphere is not to be missed, especially if you're on a romantic getaway! Surprisingly, the food stays quite true to its Greek roots without adding too much of an Indian twist to it, which I quite like.
