Check the weather forecast on the direction of the wind. Northern winds are the most common ones. The island's northern beaches are Faros - Tigkaki - Marmari - Mastichari - Volcania and Kohylari. If you want to be protected against the wind try Agios Fokas, Kefalos and Kardamena.
