Absolutely the best rum on the island... skip the Bacardi tour and do this one... it’s not free, but the tour is far more personal. Pick up the 3-star bottles (~$40/bt)... great for sipping or cocktails!

Great alternate route to go to Luquillo... especially if you arrive early. Exit the airport and turn right at the 26 (Oeste/West-San Juan/Isla Verde) sign. Stay in the right lane and follow 187 towards Pinones & Loiza to Rio Grande where you meet up with RT3, just before El Verde BBQ. Beautiful coastal route and plenty of places to stop for a bite and drinks.

Transportation
A rental car is recommended as taxis and rideshares can have varying degrees of reliability. Rent from one of the agencies located at the airport... a definite time saver. Getting a taxi to and from the airport is usually not a problem.
