A nice loop to walk

go left from house, left on 12th Ave, at the bridge people will be crabbing and fishing, continue straight to beach. This is the more secluded part of Seasides Beach. To the right you can head toward the mouth of the Necanicum River. To left you can walk on beach or the paved boardwalk. At the circle, Broadway, turn left past all the shops, arcades, restaurants. Left on N. Holladay Dr and 9 blocks back to the house.

Kayaking or paddle boarding from the house: The Estuary

If you brought your own kayak, canoe, or paddle board you can launch into the river right from the back yard. (You can rent boats and boards at several locations around town). The river flow changes with the tide. If you time it right you can have a current in your favor both directions. To the right brings you under the 12th Ave Bridge and into the Estuary where you'll see many birds, including blue herrons. Caution to avoid going into the dangerous currents of the mouth of the river.

Kayaking or paddle boarding from the house: through town

To the left you will paddle through the center of town. Docks are available if you want to take a stroll down Broadway. Paddle further on and pass the Bell Bouy Fish n Chip place. Stop for lunch or take a picnic stopping at the city park on your right.

Kayaking or paddle boarding: an all day loop

For a long paddle you can do a loop if you time the tide right. Set out to right into the estuary just before high tide. Paddle up Neawanna Creek all the way up to Sundquest Rd. There you need to portage your boats 4 blocks, cross over hiway 101 and into the Necanicum river and back to the house. Maybe a 4 hour adventure. You can see how this loop works if you Google Seaside.
