About two and a half miles out of Helston, normally less than a ten minute car drive, you will find the village of Porthleven.
There are a selection of friendly public houses, trendy sea food restaurants and boutique stores nestled around a picturesque harbour. There is a beautiful three mile stretch of golden sand beach on the outskirts of the village.
Porthleven is a popular tourist spot, with several celebrities being spotted holidaying in the area, most recently Jeremy Clarkson in 2021.
Porthleven makes a wonderful trip when staying at the Old Mill in Helston.

Sightseeing & Local Attractions
With the main walking trail starting just outside the property, it is the perfect base to set out to explore the picturesque woodlands, walking trails and wildlife of the Cober Valley. This particular trail is popular for hiking, cycling and horse riding.
Along the way you will see the Cornish countryside at its finest, the meandering River Cober, stepping stones and even across the valley a beautiful abandoned viaduct, a fascinating left over from the period when Helston had a steam railway line.

At Coronation Park you can enjoy its scenic boating lake with café. Kids will love the children's play park and skate park. This is within a ten minute walk of my property.
