The jewel of the neighborhood and well known in Calgary. This is a modern, cozy, friendly neighbourhood restaurant and pub with great food and friendly service. They’re known for their delicious pizza and they have a large menu. They have great bands on Fridays and happy hour specials throughout the week. They also have a cute patio that’s great for dining during spring and summer. It’s street- level, so it’s great for people- watching. They also do take out if you want to order and pick up. This spot is just 5 mins from my airbnb. So close. :)

John's Breakfast & Lunch

I mean, it’s McDonald’s so you know what you’re getting, and it’s an affordable choice for those who are traveling alone, or for couples that want a quick meal. It’s also a great choice for families because there are lots of tables for inside dining. It’s the original McDonald’s in Calgary, so it’s a historic landmark ( I know!) for the community of Mount Pleasant. Just a 5 min walk from my Airbnb :)

There is a restaurant side with larger tables suited for larger groups and families and the pub side with a bar. They have a large menu with something for everyone. It’s just a 10 min walk from my Airbnb- very close to the 7-11 convenience store.

Delicious, authentic, fairly priced Thai food. This restaurant is just a 5 min walk from my Airbnb. My guests love it for lunches or dinner. There is also a liquor store right beside it to purchase wine, beer or spirits.

There’s an A&W on the corner of 16 Ave and 4 st nw. It’s about a 25 min walk from my Airbnb and a 5 min drive. As you know, The burgers, fries, onion rings and gravy are worth it every time. :)

A well- known convenience and gas store to pick up things needed while traveling such as gas, bottled water, pop, juice, milk, coffee, snacks, slurpees, chips, magazines, lottery tickets, transit tickets, and other convenience items. They also serve hot convenience type appetizers, like chicken wings, chicken nuggets, breads etc). There’s an ATM inside the store as well. Just 10 mins from my Airbnb.
