It’s the launch point for pleasant boat trips around the lake and an open viewing point for Lake Victoria. Prices vary among the boats. The boat rides are good for bird sighting and even sightings of those hippos avoiding Hippo Point. You’re highly unlikely to see any hippos at hippo point.

Place to find fresh fruits, vegetables, local fresh chickens, spices *( Indian and local Swahili food spices) and local items unable to be found in the supermarkets. The prices are lower than the supermarket for the spices and you can have the fresh spices grounded for you too. The aroma is amazing. The prices in general are fair and the sellers are very kind.

It has an excellent atmosphere to have fun with family or friends & have a picnic for a day trip. Camp Tom has a variety of view points to choose from. They offer Fishing excursions too.
