Sightseeing

Looe is one of Cornwall's favourite places to visit for the whole family. Plenty of parking, lots of shops and places to eat - great fish and chips! A lovely beach and a favourite spot for crabbing off the harbour wall. East and West Looe are linked by the old bridge and for a quieter spot walk along the promenade at Hannafore overlooking Looe Island. For train enthusiasts, why not park the car in Liskeard and take the train to Looe - it's a lovely picturesque journey and is a treat for bird-watchers - look out for little egrets, grey herons, oystercatchers and curlews.

Explore the wild and stunning Bodmin Moor. we are right on the southern edge of the moor and very close to many historic mining sites. A number of walking routes allow you to get close to these evocative ruins and take in the far reaching views. Park at a local farm shop and enjoy a pasty or cream tea! A favourite spot is Minions - high up on the moor close to the famous Cheesewrings and ancient stone monuments. The village has a lovely café and a great pub!

Packed with great places to eat, some shopping and home to Plymouth Gin! Two great fish restaurants (bistro style) I recommend are Rockfish and just across the water from it is The Harbour Seafood Restaurant & Takeaway.
