This is actually my personal hiking trail and one of the best trails in an urban area that I have ever been on. You can choose to keep it fairly short and sweet, or you can do the weekend warrior work out. The elevation is steep and can be rated difficult in areas.
The views are incredible, and if there has been rain, you will find waterfalls throughout. One option will lead you to a boardwalk just off of Lake Austin. They charge a fee on weekends, so check online before heading out. No water or bathrooms other than at the bottom portion at Woodlands Park near Lake Austin.
