This public pool contains over a million gallons of natural hot springs water. Temperatures of soaking sections vary from 96 to 106 degrees. The pool has a lap swimming section, diving area, and a game area for volleyball. It is free from the strong smell of sulfur that makes the hot springs enjoyable, relaxing, and a popular place to visit.

The Dominguez-Escalante Canyon is a National Conservation Area located northwest of Montrose. It is managed by the Bureau of Land Management and is a special place nestled within the remarkable canyon country of the Uncompahgre. It is a beautiful area with Red rock canyons and bluffs, with many cultural and historic sites. Rock art on canyon walls and archaeological sites on mesas show years of Native American use, as well as, historic features left by early miners and settlers who lived in the area. You may see mule deer, big horned sheep, golden eagles, turkeys, elk, mountain lion, black bear and collared lizard.
