Beach and the reef!
The beach is the closest location the guidebook has, the real treat is a trip to Sombrero reef for snorkeling!
One of my favorite places to dive here in the keys!
Sombrero reef is a 4 mile boat ride from Marathon. The reef is between 5’ & 35’ from the surface.

Sea turtle conservation & education
The turtle hospital rescues injured turtles, recovers them, as is possible, and releases them back to the marine environment!
The turtle hospital offers a guided tour of their process, and an up close look at a variety of sea turtles native to the keys!

This is our favorite place to eat Stone crabs (in season), listen to live music, drink a beer upstairs in the rawer!
If you prefer more traditional seafood offerings they have it all, downstairs. Picnic table seating around a marina setting with big Tarpon swimming in the basin!
