Nasi Lemak and such!

Serving one of the best Nasi Lemak in town. My favourite is Nasi Lemak with Ayam Masak Merah. Not too spicy and come with generous amount of chicken for you to indulge in. Recently they have 2 outlets. First cafe located at Jalan Padungan (corner of traffic light) sometimes making parking a little challenging. Second outlet just opened in March at Gala City. You can also indulge this Nasi Lemak without going out. Just order from FoodPanda and have it deliver to the condo to enjoy. It’s fast and hassle free.

Seafood (Halal)

Great outdoor seafood place with very reasonable price. However if you do not know what to order I highly recommend few dishes; 1)Red Snapper Fish Cantonese Style 2)Fried Oyster 3)Buttermilk Prawns 4)Midin with Belacan (Shrimp Paste)/Garlic ▪️To avoid crowds during dinner, advisable to go early around 6:30-7pm. ▪️Location on top of the UTC building. You can park your car in the UTC block and take the elevator up to the roof top where the restaurants are located.

Kuching Laksa

For the past 20 years, it has been the favourite stall for my husband and myself to have our favourite bowl of Laksa in the morning. If you are not into laksa, there are other several stalls that serve different food like beef noodles and the famous kuching kolo mee.

Belacan Bee Hoon in Kuching

Only try this if you are the Belacan kind of person or you will find this weird 😆 Belacan Bee Hoon is a type of Sarawakian noodle dish that comes from an amalgamation of Chinese and Malay cultures. The medium to thick vermicelli noodles is served with thick gravy made from Belacan. It is served with shredded cucumber and cuttlefish. You can also order the rojak from the same stall.
