XIX century Paris : travel back 200 years by visiting covered galleries. These were the first European shopping centers that grouped groceries, fashion shops and theatres ( no cinemas at that time!). There were around 100 in Paris, some of them remain and keep the spirit of the old time. There are some curiosities as fashion cane shop. I adore them! https://en.parisinfo.com/discovering-paris/themed-guides/Paris-a-fabulous-heritage/visiting-parisian-outdoor-heritage/the-unique-charm-of-parisian-covered-passages https://en.parisinfo.com/paris-museum-monument/100264/Passage-des-Panoramas It's 20 min walk from St Lazare, or you could take a metro line 9 and drop off on Richelieu Drouot station (2 stops).
