With a wide variety of trails over almost 300 km of shoreline, there is something for almost every level of hiker. From Bay Bulls you can enjoy a 3.5km hike out to the Lighthouse at North Head, have a picnic and come back to enjoy a beer and bbq on the front deck. Or you can continue on past the lighthouse for a more challenging and rewarding 23 km hike (in total) to The Spout, a natural wave-powered geyser. This path features dramatic sea cliffs, sea stacks, historic lighthouse and 5 waterfalls. You can usually see whales breaching and diving all along the hikes!

Drinks & Nightlife

If you're coming to Newfoundland, surely you've heard of George Street! A two-block long street located in downtown St. John's, that houses nothing but bars, pubs and restaurants. It is only a half hour drive, but is a $70 cab ride home to Bay Bulls if nobody wants to be the DD. There isn't much nightlife offered in Bay Bulls besides a quiet pub or two within walking distance.

Parks & Nature

Gros Morne National Park is on the West Coast of Newfoundland and covers 1,805 square kilometres. Unfortunately, it is a 7 hour drive from St. John's, but well worth it! You can hike the amazing landscape along the earth’s mantle, or climb to life-changing summits. Travel along the water through fjords carved by glaciers millennia ago, leaving behind towering cliffs and thunderous waterfalls. You can also find festivals, music and art throughout the park in towns like Cow Head and Woody Point. It is a place unlike any other on earth and a must see if you can find the time!
