This restaurant is simply fab! It is in the next door village and the owners pride themselves on their attitude to lacal ingredients and local wines. Food is always amazing, they have a fantastic lunchtime rate of 18 euros for a 3 course meal. They speak excellent English and are great hosts

Restaurant right on the beach at Serignan Plage - great for families - they serve nice cocktails, have wonderful views over the beach, lots of fresh fish and mussels but also burgers if kids are that way inclined.

Roquebrun is a beautiful little town built on the steep sloping banks of the Orb river. Renowned for its vineyards and local wines its a fab place to go on a wine tasting. There is a very good town river beach and its a lovely place for renting a canoe and taking a trip down the river.

Beziers is one of France's oldest town with a colourful market town, and is the principal centre of the Languedoc wine trade. Saint-Nazaire Cathedral which dates back to the 14th Century has beautiful Gothic architecture , as well as rich Cathar history. The Old City has narrow winding streets, and the the Jardin du Plateau des Poetes is worth a visit, as well as the Musée des Beaux Arts, Les neuf ecluses (nine locks) on the Canal du midi now classed as a UNESCO World heritage site. Beziers is close to the beaches, offering many private beach bars , where you can rent a sunbed and enjoy waiter service. The lively Feria in August has bull-fighting, paellas, flamenco dancing, and partying in the streets until the early hours.
