Playa Flamingo is a white sand beach, great for swimming and also know, just offshore, for amazing deep sea fishing! When there is a swell, you'll see surfers at the south ridge point. Flamingo has some great restaurants such as Surf Box, Coco Loco, Angelinas, A lo Nico and Marie's.

If you want some cheap eats, I would recommend going to the village of Brasilito. Soda Brasilito is great for a cheap typical breakfast or lunchtime Casado (typical Costa Rican meal). There are mini marts there, all located in front of the soccer field.

Sightseeing
Playa Conchal is a stunning white sand beach made up of crushed shells. Known for great snorkeling on the north side and swimming. You must park in Brasilito and walk across the beach to reach Conchal beach (unless you are staying within Reserva Conchal, you can access via the beach club). You can also access on the south end near Puerto viejo de Conchal.

You have to go through the town of Matapalo and take the road towards Pirate's Bay to reach Playa Minas. Another great beach for snorkeling and swimming.
