Absolutely magnificent sights from the Sky Bar, overlooking Helsinki. 500m from the apartment. Amazing drinks. Try out the Finnish Napue Gin & Tonic or the Whiskey Sour....my definite favorites. Do check this out!

A great place to go for some traditional Finnish sauna. You can also take a dip in the ocean. Has a good restaurant. I definitely recommend this to anybody who wants to get acquainted with Finnish culture. Be sure to call in advance to make sure there is room. Well worth it for the 20 € price. First sauna and then some nice salmon soup :)

A very nice burger joint. The concept is somewhere between fast food an a proper restaurant. Excellent burgers all the way, but the "Cuban Fritas" is easily one of th best I have ever had. Check this out!

Great small and chilled place about 10 min walk from my Kamppi apartment. Very cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu is short and changes depending on the season. I never had a meal here that would have been anything but excellent. Decent prized meals with top notch price/quality ratio. In essence these guy´s serve glorified bar food :)

A very special Helsinki restaurant. With a Michelin star under its belt Grön offers a changing and inspiring plant-bases tasting menu straight out of Finnish nature and forrest. Very unique experience! You need to book in advance.

Nuuksio National park is quite easely reached by public transport and is definitely worth it if yo want to enjoy Finnish nature. The 53 km2 area has been a National park since 1994 and is loved by both tourists and the inhabitants of Helsinki. If you stay for a couple of days,I highly recommend that you take a day to visit Nuuksio. Gives great balance to the urban lifestyle of Helsinki.

One of my favorite place in Helsinki. Not so much the museum, but he island in general. Easley accessible by public transport or even walking, this is highly recommendable. Go out for a romantic dinner after a nice walk in this lovely island. Also great for picnics.

If you decide to go, leave early (7.30) so that you will have the hole day on location. Tallinn is very nice. About two hours one way.
