This is a walk to spot from the town landing or here at the house. It is less than a 10 minute walk from here, but if you need to drive there is some parking down at the town landing.

Abbot Hall
188 Washington StWhile there is plenty to do within walking distance or short drive, during the fall Connors Farms has pick your own apples and a huge corn maze. In late Sept they start their Hysteria which is their annual Halloween Festival including Zombie Paintball and other fun family activities. They usually have a groupon so check that out for discounts. This is about a 20 minute drive from the house.

Located in Village Plaza this is a great Vietnamese restaurant with really fresh options ( including vegetarian and vegan). The Pho is excellent and a favorite appetizer is the fried shrimp with sweet potato stix.

This is right next door to Starbucks. They have the best burritos and fresh mexican fare. The fried avocado appetizer is awesome and their queso and chips are very popular. I has only a few seats though so great for takeout. If you want to have a sit down meal they have a larger restaurant in Salem and few miles down the road.
