"We like fun. No stuffy white glove service at this restaurant, so feel free to bring the family and laugh a little too loud. We also think food shouldn’t have to travel that far to get to you. We get that it can be difficult to eat local and in-season at home, so we took the liberty of doing the hard work for you. All you have to do is come in and enjoy a meal that you can feel good about. Finally, we feel think food should be honest and accessible. If you’re vegetarian or vegan, we want you to have more than a house salad to choose from. And if you like meat, don’t worry, at Ration and Dram there will be bacon." And some great outdoor seating...

www.poorhendrix.com Named after a dog. :) Great food. Just past Kirkwood village. "Poor Hendrix is a casual neighborhood bar and restaurant located in the East Lake community of Atlanta. At the bar, we offer small plates of craveable food that pair perfectly with your favorite adult beverage and in the restaurant, you'll find simple, classic dishes that compliment an affordable but thoughtful wine list. Our bar and patio are 21+ but the restaurant is all-ages. We do have more of an adult vibe and our dining room is small and intimate so we do not have highchairs or booster seats. We are happy to welcome all of our neighbors to dine with us! No reservations-first come, first served.

Because who doesn't love going to a restaurant in a an old, former Scottish Rite Hospital on a hill in Oakhurst Village, also housing shuffle board, pinball, bocce ball& corn hole? From the website: "The restaurant & bar harken a sense of Americana, speaking to nostalgia for idealized small town life & a simpler bygone time. This cultural heritage is closely tied to the fare served, embracing a creative take on American cuisine & crafted cocktails that showcase the use of local & regional products, but also emphasize authenticity, transparency, & quality. These efforts echo Scout’s curious passion for nature & the bounty it has to offer." scoutoakhurst.com

Indian Street Food! All the words & pictures in the world can’t tell you what it’s like to bite into a multi-layered samosa, smothered in tamarind and mint chutney, nor what real chai tastes like, nor can they explain just how good this food is. There's a harmony of textures, flavors (sweet, savory, sour, salty, and spicy), aromas, and overall sensations that make up Chai Pani’s Indian Street Food. Chai Pani serves a range of traditional Indian Street Food, drinks, and thalis, but also celebrates the we also celebrate the innovation & evolution of food. http://www.chaipanidecatur.com/
