Sunday concerts are also great in Summer.

Things You Can’t Miss in Cape Town: Waterfront

7. The Silo District at the V&A Waterfront is one of Cape Town’s newest hubs, and it has plenty to offer. From cutting-edge art to gourmet food and world-class shopping, the area has something for everyone. With new additions like the Silo District, Cape Town is fast becoming one of the coolest cultural hubs to visit in the world. In V & A Waterfront. You can buy everything there. From normal goods to luxury goods. There are some supermarkets, such as Pick N’Pay or Woolworth, where you can find various local and international products. Things you can't miss: Wine farms & Party

10. Constantia wine farms: There are some wine farms, where you can do wine tasting or have lunch or supper. (I love to go to wine farms for lunch because you can sit outside and enjoy the view over the vineyard) I recommend first Constantia Glen, where has good wine and reasonable price of food, but small choice of food. Another one I like is Steenberg Vineyard. You can taste wine or have some delicious tapas at the Bistro Sixteen82 (Try the MCC Sparkling Wine) 11. Cape Town is not dangerous like you heard but be vigilant!

Wherever you go in the world, whether in Europe or another continent, criminals are everywhere, especially if they see you as a soft target because tourists are the first target of criminal. They know tourists carry everything, such as phone, camera or some cash. Please be vigilant!

Uber or Bolt for traveling in city

For travel in the city area or around, I recommend buying a South African SIM card so you can call Uber or Bolt for city area, very reasonable price. This is essential because Cape Town isn’t very walkable, and it’s unwise to take taxis off the street. You can buy a SIM card for around 150 to 250r (including internet data 1 to 2 GB) at any Vodacom store, Indian market or supermarkets (take your passport with) From Airport to city bowl areas, use Uber or Bolt would be the best and easy way which costs less than 200r. **Amount of tips for restaurant service are mostly 10% of the bill**

Things Tourists Should Never Do

Things Tourists Should Never Do in Cape Town 1. Throw cigarettes out of car windows: During summer months Cape Town battles hundreds of wildfires. Dry conditions and strong winds make conditions particularly favorable for runaway fires 2. Leave valuables unattended in cars: Like many big cities around the world, most crime in the city of Cape Town that affects tourists is opportunistic. 3. Accept the first price at curio markets: Please deal!

Things Tourists Should Never Do

4. Catch the cable car mid-morning in summer: Very long queue! Best to do: Purchasing tickets online ahead of time, the Table Mountain Cableway in particular suffers from overcrowding or visit time during mid-afternoon. 5. Accept help from anyone at an ATM: Avoid using ATMs in busy areas, never engage or accept help from people appearing nearby, and always ask waiters to bring card machines to your table (even the sharpest cynics have been caught out this way).

Things Tourists Should Never Do

6. Take a township tour and claim you’ve seen real Africa There are dozens of ways to engage with South Africans and contribute to well- meaning organisations, but taking a brief township tour in an air-conditioned minibus is not one of them. 7. Attempt to get to the airport during rush hour If you need to be at the airport anytime between 4pm and 7pm, save yourself the stress and leave well in advance.
