My husband and really enjoyed our visit. The castle is used in lots of drama's. You can also enjoy a great walk in the area and there is also The Engine Yard which is a small cafe restaurant shopping yard. However be careful were you park. The did give out tickets.

Burghley often run a number of weekend events from the Famous 5 Star horse trails early Sept. to music concerts xmas fairs . A stunning house and Stamford is a beautiful town in one and a half hours drive but it's truly worth the day trip you would not be disappointed. Do check out Burghley house website for events.

October is the month that the seals give birth to there young on the beech at Donna Nook. Its the most wonderful sight! Its run by a team of volunteers who watch over the seals and can answer any questions you may have. There is a large carpark and a foot patch to follow the seals can only be a metre from the patch with there young.

Beautiful crystal blue water lake. Opened 2021 by a world professional open water swimmer. They cater for all including family days to experience open water swimming, Boarding kayaking
