A must stop while walking through Downtown Taos, The Historic Taos Inn is known as The Living Room of Taos. Live music every night until about 10pm, excellent margaritas and all the local flavor you're looking for. Food is excellent too. Ask for the restaurant menu for a wider selection. One of my favorite patio/people watching places in town.

A UNESCO World Heritage site, Taos Pueblo is the most continuously inhabited Pueblo and right near town in Taos. The sacred Rio Pueblo runs through the Pueblo from Blue Lake. 600 feet above the Rio Grande, the Rio Grande gorge bridge stretches across the desert. Enjoy the views of the canyons and mountains and see all the way to Colorado. Just beyond the bridge, at the back of the rest area is a flat trail that you can take in more of the magnificent views.
