"Viejo" San Juan (established in 1509) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city of San Juan is the oldest continuously inhabited European established settlement in The United States. In Old San Juan you'll find "La Fortaleza"(the governors mansion), the famous El Morro(a citadel built by the Spanish to protect the city), and many other historical landmarks. In addition to the history you'll find tons of restaurants, bars and unique art which give it a special feel when walking the cobble stone streets.
