An old army base for housing soldiers was left abandoned in the 1970s. Following this many artistic, free spirits, and those desiring less responsibilities in life moved in and live there still today. It is a very peaceful area with some bars and by the lake and canal.

Climb the steps to the very top of the spire! Although only slightly more expensive than Rundetårnet, the views of the city are fantastic. The steps up are numerous, and in the end you’ll be climbing the last circular steps outside around the top of the spire!

29 Sankt Annæ GadeClimb the steps to the very top of the spire! Although only slightly more expensive than Rundetårnet, the views of the city are fantastic. The steps up are numerous, and in the end you’ll be climbing the last circular steps outside around the top of the spire!
Take the FREE elevator and stairs up to the top. Fantastic views, and if your budget can allow it, a very good restaurant on the top. The lunch menu is surprisingly inexpensive (for the experience), but the dinner requires reservations.

Entertainment
This is a must-see in Copenhagen. The second oldest amusement park in Europe (the oldest is located just north of Copenhagen), it is densely and cleverly packed within one city block. Walking through you will find rides, games, gardens and restaurants, to satisfy every one - young and old alike!
You can pay for only entrance, and individually for the rides. Otherwise there is at double the entrance price also the possibility to have an all-access pass to every ride. If you enjoy rides and the budget allows, I would recommend this every time!
