We love JP Seafood! The three of us are vegetarian and are very happy there because it isn't all fish. Korean and other pan-Asian food. Great for families with kids especially on the early side. Friendly service and just a few blocks from our home.

One of my favorite places. Cuban food! Delicious, authentic and affordable. It's about a mile away but a nice walk. The fried plantains are amazing (maduros are ripe and sweet and tostones are the green plantains mashed and fried. I love the rice and beans with salad and tostones. Carnivore friends swear by the ropa vieja (shredded beef) or chicken fricassee but there are plenty of other choices as well. Try the tropical shakes!

Israeli restaurant with amazing falafels, hummus and other Middle Eastern specialties. One town over from JP in Brookline. Parking generally can be found and the neighborhood, Coolidge Corner, has a great bookstore and lots of other shops.

Ramen, ramen and more ramen. I love restaurants that specialize in just one thing and do it right and they sure do. One town over in Brookline. Worth the drive and the wait if you go in the evening. The ramen is the best I've had in Boston.
