The idyllic seaside village of Agia Galini is three kilometers from the villa and a 5-minute drive. When you arrive in Agia Galini, you will find winding cobble stone streets, restaurants, shopping, beaches, outdoor cafes and bars, and a thriving nightlife. During the day the village is quieter, but that can be the perfect opportunity to sip a cool drink by the ocean or casually visit the many village shops selling traditional Cretan products and souvenirs.

Heraklion, is a port city and the capital of Crete. It’s known for the Palace of Knossos, just outside the city. The huge archaeological site dates back thousands of years to the Minoan civilization, and includes frescoes and baths. Guarding the city’s Venetian port is the 16th-century Koules fortress. Even though Heraklion is bustling, its history is still reflected throughout the town. Strolling around the town you’ll see a beautiful Venetian harbor, a fortress, and a busy shopping center. You’ll also find many restaurants, bars and taverns. Pretty much everything you’ll need to be entertained during your visit.
