Fully Belly Farm has always been on the cutting edge of building new community venues, so I am so pleased that the Paul Muller and Dru Rivers (founders of Full Belly) have inspired their son , Amon, and his wife, Jenna, to create Fully Belly Farm Kitchen. Check out their web site to get the schedule of their Friday night Pizza parties, their bimonthly farm dinners. They cater (yum!), host events (like weddings), and Amon's sister, Hannah can also do the flowers! Full Belly farm stand is open each Friday afternoon from 2-5 pm as well.

Best Mexican Food around! The building does not have much charm, but the workers do! Super casual, but I have never been disappointed in the food.

Beautiful outdoor patio with fire pit, surrounded by olive trees. In the fall, if you hit it right, you can tour the very interesting olive mill - but even if you can't get the formal tour, the gift shop has glass walls that gace into the processing area. They have wonderful olive oils and balsamic vineyards - start thinking of who is on your guest list! I can easily fill my holiday gift list here

So quaint - Old Mahogany bar, wooden booths, great local food made by local farmers. You will definitely get a feel of the local culture here. Good selection of bears, good burger, and good vegetarian dish (small menu, but something for all dietary needs/restrictions). Closes at 9 PM. Sometimes open on Sunday for brunch, and I'd really like to make it to that!

You can look up Cache Creek's musical line up - there is always something happening there, as well as a spa, golf course, gaming, ( not my thing - smoking isn't allowed in the restaurants, but you have to walk through the casino where smoking is allowed to get to the restaurant) and lots of good restaurants. I like the Chinese restaurant, and lots of people enjoy the buffet (too much food for me.)

Sightseeing

Woodland has quite the history , first being settled in the 1850s. The variety of architecture can be seen by following the self guided walking tour markers (gold circles with arrows embedded into the sidewalk) The real excitement, however, is the 2nd Saturday in September, when you can join the Stroll Through History where you can actually tour the insides of selected homes. http://www.strollthroughhistory.com/

Popular Horse and Hiking Trail. Tuleyome manages the yolohiker.org web page where you can find lots of hikes in the Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument, which was just formed a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, I have not yet comes to terms yet, with what the fires of summer 2018 have/will change the landscape.

Turn left on Forest Avenue in Guinda ( at the Corner Store), follow road to the end, about 1 mile, and road dead ends. Turn around and park past the "no parking signs". This dirt road is public right of way, and if you head up about 2 miles you can look back into the Capay Valley and see a beautiful visit of the farm lands. It is private property adjacent to the road, so there are not great picnic stops - I have taken a small poncho, and sat on it at the side of road, but you can't really see the view (bushes are in the way) once you sit down. In rainy year, you can see a waterfall (but we have not had a rainy year for awhile). Gentle grade good for children, and can turn back early.

Drive 5 miles north of Fiddler's Green, and turn right on Road 57. In .5 miles you will reach Nichols' Park. There is a children's play structure, picnic tables, and access to Cache Creek (river) and beach. No potable water. Porta Potty. Free!. Great to bring an inner tube and float.

Nicest, hardworking family running a small mom and pop Mexican Meet Market - The Chicken Fajita mix is my favorite, if I'm looking for an easy meal to cook up at home in 5 minutes. They have a little bit of everything. (DO NOT GO TO THE ESPARTO MARKET - It is a very, very sad, dirty place, where everything appears to be expired.)

Everything Else

I would spend each of my November birthday's at Wilbur Hot Springs. I don't enjoy visiting hot springs when it is hot weather, but ohh - in the winter - it is divine. The outside tubs/sauna/ pools are clothing optional, but inside the old 20th century house, I love to pad around in my bathrobe and enjoy the fire in their library. Bring a picnic or plan to cook in their kitchen Massages available. Some hiking around place. Dirt road forthe last 8 ish miles.
