Best? Fishrestaurant in Bergen in a very old Bryggen house. Somewhat expensive, but worth a visit. You sit "in a museum" food is excellent, and the surroundings amazing.

Friendly italian inspired, good location at the Fish Market, and food OK quality, not too expensive. May have to wait in line during summer.

Have a fish cake - Bergen speciality shop for this. Grab it on the way. Or buy a fish soup to take how or eat in. Very typical and popular in Bergen ( has been there for many decades )

Things to do in Bergen
Take the funicular to the top and see Bergen.
Take stroll on the gravel paths when you are there and if yo do not want to walk the entire way down get off at Fjellveien, or Proms gate on your way down and choose one of the narrrow paths down.
Fjellveien is one of the most fashionable addresses in Bergen. The road is flat oand good for jogging. If you go north towards Sandviken and then the first path dow to the left you have many alternatives of getting dow to Bergen through the narrow streets and in between wooden houses.

This park was for many years "unavailable" for the citizens of Bergen due to drugtrafficking. The area was cleaned som 10 years ago and now house a kindergarden. You should walk from Torgalmenningen, straight west to the big organge/ red church at the top of the hill. Take a left through the university / museum area. If you keep going ( straight ahead ( south) at the top of the hill) you will " hit the park. There is a nice informal cafe at the start of the park. if you go through the park you can either go to the "new seaside" in Bergen and have a coffee/ lunch at Kaffebrenneriet, or go directly south and take the light rail back to town ( two stops)

Heated pool all summer. Nice environment. Nice seawater pool. Possibility to swim in the cold fjord of Bergen :-). Not very fashionable, you can add a nice walk of the Nordnes Park close by

These steps where first made by unemployed youths in Bergen in the 1930'ties. It was refurbished by Nepalese sherpas the last 10 year. The record up is below 9 minutes. Can you make it in less than 30? From the top there is a 2 hour? walk to Fløyen on gravel paths

I recommend to seek out the selfguided "Norway in a Nutshell" at the website norwaynutshell.com - It is a highly recommended day trip, on bus train to Beautiful Flåm, and a boat trip. It is also possible to buy the different transportation legs separately as this "regular transportation".

Take the bus and the cablecar to Ulriken. Then perhaps walk Vidden to Fløyen. Contact me for directions if of interest
Or walk the steps to Ulriken from Montana up or down or both. They were just finalized last year.

Klostergarasjen is the closest parking garage to the Apartment – make sure you choose the exit: "Muren" when exiting ( or alternative “Klosteret” and you have to walk down the hill) From the exit “Muren” 650 meters to the Apartment
