Food Scene

I am so grateful everyday that a small town like Bemidji has a real exquisite restaurant like this one. Highly ranked in the entire state, they source their food organically and locally when possible. If you are a foodie like me, this place is always a treat!

This is my other lunch spot. The space is a little tighter but slightly more polished than Cabin House, and there is also a back room with books for kids. Their food is healthy and yummy!

This is another jewel in Bemidji! From farm to table, Amber at Table for 7 cares about food, and sees food as a way to care for people and our plant. What this translate to is seasonal surprises prepared with ingredient locally grown, creativity and the best taste! It's got a mini-farmers market inside too!

Drinks & Nightlife

This is the hang out place! With live music and local beers on tap. This Irish Pub also has a few signature menu items that you can't go wrong with. I like the egg rolls, shepherd's pie, and their broiled walleye.

Locally brewed craft beer that my fridge is always full of. It's also a place where I cannot go without running into a friend :D

Sightseeing

It is really cliche, I know, but we are so close to it, and the water front next to it is beautiful!

Essentials

I am a foodie, and a tree hugger. I believe I am what I eat, so I shop at the Co-op, and try to buy organic whenever possible. Plus the deli there has the best soup that is solid enough to be a meal in itself!

I am so grateful we have this little museum in town. I love taking my kids them to see all the science exhibits and animals. They can easily spend half a day there. It's not so big that it is overwhelming; it is just big enough for you moms to sit back and relax and watch your children play and learn. Grab their annual membership while you are there, because their travelling passport program opens the door(free admissions to hundreds of children's and science museums across the country! Since there are no other museums within 100 miles, every ASTOR members museums are included in this membership!
