Grianan Of Aileach
The Grianan of Aileach is a hillfort atop the 244 metres high Greenan Mountain at Inishowen. Magnificent views over the surrounding contryside. the best known castle in the north-west because of it prominent position on a hilltop clearly visible from the Derry-Letterkenny road.
Located on the Inishowen Peninsula, County Donegal, Ireland and is the most northerly point of the island of Ireland.

The marina, which is located in the picturesque village of Fahan, is located between Inch Island and Fahan Hill, in secure and sheltered waters. Lough Swilly has miles of golden sandy beaches, which have remained untouched by time. Fahan, which means 'sheltered place' in Irish, is only a 10 minute drive from the historic city of Derry. Water, electricity, toilets and showers are available on site.

Inch Island, a small island connected to the mainland in Lough Swilly, is a birdwatcher's paradise.
The island is home to an important population of migratory birds and wintering waterfowl. Three species, whooper swan, Greenland white fronted goose and greylag goose, occur in numbers of international importance. This is the area where the swans make their Irish landfall in autumn on their return from breeding grounds in Iceland and there are some excellent vantage points from which to view these majestic birds.
