200 years ago George Washington visited and noted that Marblhead 'had the look of antiquity'. The historic district boasts over 300 pre revolutionary war buildings. There many beautiful old homes and gardens tucked in the crooked winding streets bordering the sailboat pregnant harbor. Our favorite time to stroll is just before dinner.

While it is rocky, it is so much fun at low tide. A short walk away is Gas House beach which has a path in low tide out to Brown's Island. Rent a Kayak and explore around the outer edges of the Island.

Around the corner at Hestia Creations you can paint ceramics at their drop in table or buy Marblehead made Ornaments and decorations. A little further down Atlantic is Out of the Box Studio, an art studio which frequently offers classes and workshops. All three shops are part of the Arts on Atlantic Ave initiative.
