'The Library Bar' and 'The Boiler Room' are some of my favorite venue's in NJ. Want to get away from the post beach scene and have a few moments of Sophistication... Plan Drinks and Dinner at The Library and Blue Pig. Then wander down stairs for an all night party in 'The Boiler Room'. They usually have really great bands and a fun crowd.

Plan Drinks and Dinner at The Library and Blue Pig. Then wander down stairs for an all night party in 'The Boiler Room'. They usually have really great bands and a fun crowd.

TOGO! YUM! ITALIAN! This is the best spot to feed a family on a dime. As a kid my Grandmother would order a tray of stuffed shells from these guys to feed the whole crew. Food quality has always been AWESOME. Best Pizza on the Island!

MY FAVORITE! DOGGIE FRIENDLY PATIO! If you want a treat, visit Congress Hall in Cape May and have brunch, lunch, dinner @ the Blue Pig. Plan to have a sophisticated beverage at 'The Library Bar' and listen to a few songs on played on the grand piano. Excellent martinis! Then sit and dine on the patio. If you are eating late, put Fido in the car and hang for a bit in the basement club 'The Boiler Room' TONS OF FUN!

FOOD NETWORK! Maui's Dogs was on Food Network. Their dogs are about the most creative I have seen. NOT a cheap eat but I go every so often when I NEED a good hot dog.

Cape May County Zoo is one of the best around. It is situated back in the woods and they take great care of the animals. I have been going since a little kid and still love to go whenever possible.

For those that love to see nature... The Bird Sanctuary has great trails and TONS of animals wandering about. It is protected land so not doggie friendly but beautiful to visit

DOG FRIENDLY! GREAT SUNSETS! This beach is more secluded than Sunset. It is about a mile long and super calm water. GREAT for workout swimming! Zephyr and I will do laps up and down the shore line. This tends to be the favorite spot of local nudists. It used to be a legal nude beach but was outlawed a few years ago. Those of us that have been visiting a long time feel we are grandfathered in. :-) If you like to Bare your Buns or Mams, this is the place. PLEASE be respectful to passers by and cover OR come with a wind screen. There is a great community of folks here that are welcoming and friendly especially if you enjoy sun rays where it don't usually shine AND have a dog.
